Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 (“the Act”), makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The Act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to disclose annually the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in a calendar year.

Under the funding conditions defined in subsection (2) of the Act, a body receiving funding from the Government of Ontario in that year of an amount that is at least equal to, $1,000.000 or 10% of the body’s gross revenues for the year if that amount is $120,000 or more is required to disclose under the Act.

In 2020, the NPCA received funding from the Government of Ontario of approximately $346,167 or 3.6% of gross revenues.

While the NPCA does not qualify for disclosure under the Act, the Board of Directors recognizes the need for transparency and has requested that title and salary ranges for staff earning in excess of $100,000 are published annually by the NPCA.

For 2020, the positions with salary ranges that may place compensation above $100,000 are:
