PD Day Adventure CAmp

Let your students spend their PD Days in nature! Our PD Day Camps bring students into the wild, to explore the wonders of the environment around them. From guided nature hikes, to inclusive outdoor games, science experiments and take-home crafts, campers will be busy all day long and immersed in all that Ball's Falls has to offer!

Who: Students ages 4 - 11
When: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., extended care available 8:00 a.m to 4:40 p.m.

2024 – 2025 PD DAY CAMPS

November 29, 2024: Fall-ing into Nature
Come explore the forest Ball's Falls at this busy time of the year! On this day, campers will explore various animal habitats and learn how these creatures are preparing for winter. Campers will explore the forest, make animal homes of their very own and learn about ways we can be good nature neighbours!

January 17, 2025: Winter Wonders
Ever wondered why all snowflakes are different? Or why evergreen trees don't lose their leaves? In this exciting day, campers will explore our forest winter wonderland and discover the science and magic of this incredible season!

February 14, 2025: Hibernation Station
Where have the animals gone?! Fret not, on this exciting day, campers will discover what it takes for our animal friends to get ready for hibernation and will get the chance to build their own winter habitat in the woods!

preparing for the adventure

  • Campers must come prepared for an action-packed day in the great outdoors. Backpacks should include:
  • Indoor and outdoor footwear (running shoes, winter boots, and/or waterproof rain boots)
  • Litter-less and nut-free lunch and snacks
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Winter gear: warm jacket, hat, gloves, scarf, snow/slush pants, extra socks, change of clothes, face mask
  • Summer gear: rain jacket, splash pants, sunscreen, hat, bug spray, face mask
