The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) is excited to announce that a management plan is being initiated for the Beamer Memorial Conservation Area (Beamer), and the community is invited to take part in shaping the future of this beloved natural space.
A management plan is a long-term strategy that outlines how NPCA protects and conserves a designated area’s natural resources while enhancing public access and experiences. The plan will assess current conditions of the property, identify challenges, and set goals to balance ecological preservation with infrastructure improvements and recreational opportunities.
Community engagement is at the heart of this process. Visitors and residents are encouraged to share their experiences, ideas, and feedback to help create a plan that reflects the needs and values of the community for generations to come.
The NPCA will host a Public Information Session on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elizabeth Street Pumphouse, located at 447 Elizabeth Street, Grimsby, L3M 3K9. This is an opportunity for the community to come together to shape the future of this special area. Registration is required. Light refreshments will be provided.
